Student Choir

Students in grades 3-6 will be chosen to participate in the school choir. They will be taught by a professional choir instructor for a few hours a week for presentations throughout the year. Music is a great way to learn dedication, teamwork, and self confidence. We are very excited to have this program at our school!

Science Fair

Held in the Spring, Leland encourages all of it's students to participate in our annual science fair. Students in 3-6 grades work on individual projects while younger students work on in-class projects.

Art to Grow On

Art to Grow On’s school year program consists of three to five projects designed by professional artists. For each project, volunteer docents attend workshops where they receive instruction from the artist in how to present and teach the project to the children. Those docents then take the projects into their schools. Teachers can then sign up to involve their students in the fun projects designed to teach art appreciation, technique and inspire creativity in the students. Leland's Art to Grow On program is sponsored by the parent organization.

Art and Music in the Classroom

Instruction in art and music will be taught in the student's classrooms by traveling instructors giving students the opportunity to be creative and learn important cognitive skills.
